Residential Council Minutes :: September 13, 2005

  1. Everyone has been assigned to committees, most got their first choices.Lottery Committee – meeting 8:00 every other Thursday

  2. Lottery Committee goals
    1. Evaluate the lottery
    2. Run the first pick competition and look into improving it
      1. it went well, we will talk about how to streamline it
    3. Evaluate sophomore housing on Wriston and examine why Sophomores got better housing than Juniors.
    4. Explore with policy committee where to place 111 brown street, plantations house, etc.
      1. how do we assign these so that housing is most equitably used?

    1. Formulate program house guidelines and get them approved
    2. fall review

    1. work with the lottery committee to improve specialized house placement
    2. look into expanding program houses
    3. look into universal card access issue
    4. discuss merits and disadvantages of CA program, with Dean Cobham
    5. supplies in grad center – discover why soap, etc. are not provided
    6. look into conditions in Minden, which appear to be bad.
  7. Next week we will discuss the program house constitution
