Program House Committee has proposed three options for DTau and Games House, will discuss later
Fall Review next Wednesday night, 5 - 8 p.m. (Where?)
Lottery Committee: Justin
    No meeting this past week.
Policy Committee: Katie
No need for meeting this past week, no new developments

CA Program
Katie has written up a recommendation to submit to ResLife before the end of the semester (for implementation at the start of the spring semester).
Goal: to resolve students’ views of the CA program and raise awareness of CA responsibilities
Proposal suggests displaying the name, photo, contact information, and list of responsibilities for both the CA and CD at the entrance of each dorm, as well as distributing the list of CA roles and responsibilities to each student either by e-mail or on room doors.
We are choosing not to require CA’s to introduce themselves everyone in their dorm. That involves a change in the policy of the program and may be proposed later on, but for now, we are focusing more on corrective measures that can be done mid-semester.
Amendments to the proposal: strike the part about the role of CDs in the preamble, last line of the first segment should read “descriptions of CA and CD responsibilities and role should be distributed to each student by e-mail and left at each student’s door.”
Motion to accept CA program proposal with amendments:  Yes 9, No 0. We meet quorum.

Can we obtain the mid-year survey and results of the survey for the CA program from ResLife?
ResLife tells Brendan that ResCouncil will receive “an adequate summary” of the results of the CA program survey. Katie wants more information.
Brendan hopefully will ask ResLife to provide a copy of the survey to ResCouncil before it is sent out so that we can provide feedback.

UCS Campus Life (Deanna)
Proposal for lounge renovations
Most people have looked over the revised list of lounge renovations; nobody has any problems with the current version.
Motion to endorse UCS’s Campus Life proposal for lounge renovations: Yes 8, No 0, Abstain 1
UCS Campus Life Committee is meeting with the deans of campus life next week to review the recommendations for lounge renovations and to discuss which lounges are to be renovated.

Freshman Housing Questionnaire
UCS Campus Life Committee is examining the wording of the questions on the freshman housing questionnaire, but does not have any current intent to make a drastic change or switch to personality-matching methods.
Substance use seems to be the most important issue. Should the questions be asked online? It may be more effective to ask for students’ comfort level with potentially substance-using roommates instead of just asking for the student’s level of substance use.

Program House Committee
Three options for DTau and Games House for ResCouncil to think about for next week:
Disbanding at the end of the fall semester
Extension, give them a year to bring up membership
Intermediate probation: allow for rush in the spring; if there are not enough in-house members by Super Deadline Day, the house will be disbanded, in which case members must enter the housing lottery for on-campus housing; (also, the house will be disbanded if the level of in-house members falls below the minimum number over the summer)
Games House may be relocated elsewhere on campus to ensure commitment to the house — location to be unknown until after rush in the spring.
Reviewed history of DTau and Games House.
Program House Committee is required to be at Fall Review next Wednesday, Nov. 30, 5 – 8 p.m. The rest of ResCouncil is strongly encouraged to be there.

Meeting adjourned at 1:02 p.m.
