  7. Discussion
    1. Last year, we added the system for rising seniors in singles
    2. Doesn't necessarily decrease fairness--people could have gotten those kinds of rooms.
    3. Theoretically could have the same housing for three years.
    4. If rising seniors squat a lot of suites, the process puts pressure on rising seniors who no longer have the second chance to get the best housing.
    5. Do we want to discourage mixed groups? Maybe average their grade level to see if it falls under a senior number
    6. Will more people go on or off campus? We don't know.
    7. It's too much change in one year to be able to debrief accurately.
    8. Can program houses expand into a squatter's room?
      1. After super-deadline day, ResLife can work out those conflicts
      2. In the end the program hosue has priority and the student would move to a comparable space.
    9. Program houses do their own lottery so within the lottery they can allow squatting.
    10. They will not allow pre-lottery pull-ins, but if current occupants leave after the lottery it is more acceptable
      1. Makes it harder to pull in a suite over multiple years.
    11. People who leave in Spring give up rights to the room
    12. what is a reasonable guess for how many will chose this?
      1. Chad: a lot lower than you'd think
  8. Motion to support 1A, rising seniors in greater than one 7/2/2
  9. Discussion about 2A, rising juniors in singles
    1. Many who would want to keep it will have gotten it off the waitlist
  10. Motion on 2A, 1/10/0
  11. Motion on 2B, 1/10/0
  12. Zac Townsend is worried that ResCouncil is upset about UCS' handling of Student Storage
    1. We are not.
