  1. Meeting begins at 12:05 PM
  2. Policy
    1. did not meet, wating on poll sent to ResLife last semester
  3. Adam
    1. on ski team, asking ResCouncil to suspend the rules and allow him on ResCouncil
    2. Motion to vote on it
    3. Motioned and voted to do by secret ballot
    4. Motion passes 9/2/1
  4. Program House
    1. Made a form as first step in program house application process
      1. Must have 22-30, 1/4 must be rising juniors or seniors
      2. Committee will narrow down selection and give them a list of things they need to do, those who qualify will be forwarded on if it is deemed good.
    2. We are open to using many spaces other than Wriston (111 Brown, Pembroke...)
    3. Motion to pass, passes 12/0/0
    4. Smaller groups may be approved for smaller spaces if they demonstrate enough community impact.
  5. Lottery
    1. Instead of four segments, one segment on Monday, Tues, Thurs of one week
      1. Exactly the same as formed last year, but can pick any number of rooms.
    2. Sophomore-only, remove some of the housing and add in places more concucive to community.
    3. First pick will begin and take submissions by the end of this week.
  6. Lottery discussion
    1. Why three days? We can do it for three weeks?
      1. But it is only one segment and we want to finish it over Spring Break.
    2. Suggestion to split it up over more time
    3. A whole lot of information to digest, options, and choices
      1. Completely different scenario
      2. New fallout from every day
      3. In some ways, though, there is less strategizing and students don't need to have an awareness of rooms that are outside of their segment
      4. But, people can have a ranked list of rooms
    4. If we don't have to rush it, then why rush it over three consecutive days? Idea for Monday/Thurday/Monday
    5. There is a lot of coordination with a lot of people--group sizes, etc. can change, drop down, etc.
    6. The most flexibility would be to come into it as a large group.
    7. Motion to approve single segment, passes 10/1/1
    8. Motion to making it MTW before Spring Break - passes 9/2/1
  7. Sophomore-only discussion
    1. Barbour, not sophomore-only by 12/0/0
    2. Goddard, not sophomore-only by 11/1/0
    3. Sears, not sophomore-only by 9/2/1
  8. Meeting adjourned at 12:51 PM
