A two part event: First, a cross-cultural panel of immigrants' rights organizers, lawyers, anti-deportation activists, and family members of deportees in order in a dialog about our country's increasing xenophobia and anti-immigrant legislation. Second, a student immigrant organizer leads an action meeting to begin organizing Brown students against Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Burma: One Year after the Saffron Revolution

Doctor, writer, and ex-political prisoner Ma Thida teams up with Patrick Cook-Deegan of US Campaign for Burma to give a talk focusing on the Burmese junta, the effects of recent cyclone, and the resistance movement by Burmese and American students.

Legends of the SEA (featuring MAGNETIC NORTH)

A show where Southeast Asian students perform alongside renowned guest artists and local artists: Magnetic North, Fresh Traditions (Hmong-American Tou Saiko Lee weaves spoken word with his grandmother Youa Chang’s traditional folk-singing), and a local Laotian dance group.
