For all of Masha's friends -
On Tuesday, Feb 24, 2004, Masha Dexter passed away in the Intensive
Care Unit in Columbia University. Masha had been struggling with
Hodgkin's Disease since coming to Brown four years ago. Those who knew her at
Brown knew that she was an energetic and tireless fighter for gay
rights and women's issues, and involved in the ACLU, Queer Alliance, and
Writer's Fellow program. She also had a funny way of putting you at easy
when you least expected it. Masha was an amazing women, and we wish
her happiness wherever she might be.
