We are proud to have reestablished the African Sun
as a voice for and about the Black community. The mission of the African
Sun is to provide a space for all members of the College Hill community
to engage in respectful, dynamic dialogue about issues relevant to the
Black community and to our beloved Brown community. We are grateful
to all of the organizations, businesses, and individuals who have assisted
us by contributing funds, giving us rides, and offering advice.
We believe that more and more people are reading the African Sun because
of the candor and freshness of the content. To the people who have submitted
articles and art, Thank You. You have truly made this paper.
The African Sun is continuing to evolve and our goals for the future
of the African Sun are substantial. For those interested in our mission,
we hope that you will get involved.
The hard work and stress of restarting and managing a campus publication
have been far outmatched by the rewards of enhancing our community.
Sincerely,
Langston Dugger ’04 & Ellen Hunter ‘04
