e.To work on/ challenges: connection to GB, staying connected if not part of e-board, work on sub-committees?, social events and parties,
make people feel comfortable on campus and in AASA as a student group, share common interest in identity versus just culture or nationality,
more diversity in group composition and alliances on campus, Pan-Asian leadership/group meetings (Dean Kisa), more discussion within
e-board (idea of talking about issues outside of meetings), more mentorship events
f. Ideas: issues like identity, interracial dating, etc, open meetings/GB’forum discussion to discuss more public issues, interaction with alums
like at community retreat, learn about being As/As-Am and explore identity, get the newbies and mentees involved through helping in events
like ARTS FEST
- History of AASA as a group on campus, QA “A day of discourse,” co-sponsored Asian discussion/conference for students on campus

IV. Note from Eva:
Let people know that over the summer we worked out a support system for people who might like to become tutors of the PrYSM GED class…and there are some other options/programs that are available too if people are interested in doing other stuff, but that those other options have far less to no support set right now. Not impossible if people are really interested, depending on what their expectations are. Because the GED class has just finished the math unit and pre-test; we finished an evaluation circle today and there will be new students coming in to this Sunday’s class; we’ll probably have a better idea of exactly how many tutors we want from AASA after we see how things work out this Sunday.
