    AASA 40th Anniversary Event:
    • Eric and Soobin met with AAHM Programmers, Dean Kisa and Myra Liwanag
    • 11/4 or 5, A4 retreat, but alums can also participate in our event
    • Myra is helping us identify what alumni are interested in participating
    • Dean Kisa wants a series of workshops, one of which will be ours
      • Our workshop would be history of Asian American Activism at Brown
    • For our own thing, it could be a AASA dinner with the alumni
      • Alumni relations will foot a large chunk of the bill
      • Opportunity to meet past members of AASA

    Asian Arts Fest!!!

    d.    Publicity: Ask people directly in person to come to the event!

    a.    Concerns about low attendance, may affect funding in future
    b.    Stacey will be meeting with Myra
    c.    Publicity- maybe use less expensive A4 flyers than posters and keep putting them up; split up 
    d.    Ways to increase turnout
    i.    Choose a better time?
    ii.    Increase name recognition
    iii.    strengthen the AASA GB

    3.    Asian Arts Fest
    a.    Poster and logo will be completed by the end of the week

    1. What Soobin said at today's meeting will be discussed at the year end party Recap of ill-Literacy
      • BDH article was generally positive (AASA name was put out there)
      • people enjoyed the event but some said that if it was mentioned the event wasn't strictly spoken word would have reached a wider audience
      • pretty diverse audience, though many from Bay area
      • props to Soobin and Vivian for taking care of so many logistics!!
      • no tech problems!!! Yayy!
      • for future events might be more effective to have each member commit to selling a certain amount of tickets
      • estimate that about 100 people showed up
      • Hudson will send a final report to OCA about the event
    2. AAHM GB "Expression of Impressions"
      • November, 20th at the Hourglass Cafe 9:15-11pm
