AASA's Mission Statement
To build a conscious, inclusive Asian American community through a commitment to reclaiming our identities as Asian Americans and people of color by critically examining our histories of colonialism and immigration and actively defining a space for Asian Americans in the Struggle for Third World liberation. Furthermore, AASA is dedicated to challenging all forms of oppression, including racism, sexism, heterosexism, and classism, and recognizes their historical and current manifestations in systems of imperialism and the exploitation of people of color.
