Dining
Even if you're not living with us, eating at BACH is a wonderful way to bring nutritious meals, a warm community, and low cost nourishment into your life. Seven nights a week, a home-cooked meal is served at both houses. The meals are always vegetarian with a vegan option and always cooked with love. For breakfast and lunch and food at all hours the kitchen is your oyster, with great cauldrons of leftovers and scattered other comforts.
All members of the food co-op are welcomed into and expected to be a
contributing part of the house community. In addition to
cooking and cleaning once a week for dinner, all BACHers agree to take
on a house job, which should
amount to about two hours per week. This can mean cleaning a floor,
taking out the trash, going shopping for groceries, or maintaining
this website. In addition, all BACH co-opers are expected to attend a
weekly house meeting, where all the serious business of the
house is conducted.
Though most of us are students, most anyone is welcome to join the food
co-ops at both Watermyn and Finlandia. The best way to learn
more is to stop by for dinner! We are always happy to have
guests.
The BACH food co-op at each house currently costs $470 per Brown semester. Compared to the Brown or RISD meal plans, this is garbanzo beans.
