About BUGS

Brown University Gilbert & Sullivan was founded in the fall of 2004 by Dan Grollman and Jonathan Ichikawa, two Brown graduate students who thought it was lame that there was no G & S at Brown.

The mission of BUGS is to promote appreciation for and awareness of the wonderful works of W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, throughout Brown University and in the community at large. We are an all-volunteer organization, sustained entirely with grants and private donations. We are committed to the production of high-quality comic operas, twice a year, with no admission charge. Participation in BUGS productions is open to as many members of the Brown community as finances and space permit.
