The Patter-A-Thon is an event unique to Brown University Gilbert and Sullivan modeled after fundraisers like Relay for Life. Anyone who wants to can volunteer to sing a patter song ("amusing lines delivered rapidly by an entertainer or performer, as in a comic routine or in a song," such as "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General"). We will take turns one after another and see how long we can patter. The goal is to collect money based on the length of time we can sing continuously.

This fall's upcoming Patter-a-Thon will be held on the steps of Faunce House at Brown University. (For a map of Brown University's campus, click here.) It will be held on Parents' Weekend, October 21st beginning at 3PM. If you are interested in participating in the Patter-a-thon, contact The Mistress of the Doehounds.

The Patter-a-Thon will be used to raise money for our fall production of Ruddigore. Please come and enjoy fun with musical theater and show your support for our beloved, BUGS, funded entirely by private grants and donations.
