Note, the date for the 1st Fall Dance Concert Showing has been changed from October 8 to October 6 so as to no longer conflict with Yom Kippur.

Brown University Dance Initiative, launched this spring, is a coalition of student dancers working to create more dance space on campus. Through their efforts, a $300,000 renovation for the electrical system in Alumnae Hall was approved to begin this summer. To support this important initiative, sign the BUDI petition! Contact BrownUniversityDance@gmail.com for details.

Thanks to all the support and effort that has been put into the Brown University Dance Initiative T.F. Green got some new dance barres and full length mirrors along the side wall to make it a more danceable space.

The Dance Board will be having open weekly meetings at 4:30 pm in Ashamu. Anyone is free to make suggestions regarding choreographers that they would like to come to campus. Please email any suggestions to myself, christina_santana@brown.edu or Julie Strandberg at julie_strandberg@brown.edu.

We have a listserv! The Body and Sole list will distribute information about upcoming auditions, performances and dance-related events on and off campus. Sign up via email below, or by putting your name on the list on the Ashamu bulletin board.
