Description: Why not now and why not by us? Ever since we stepped onto campus, we have seen and felt the need for another separate and different outlet for the dancers on this campus. imPulse Dance Company was founded on February 12, 2004 by Nefertiti Jaquez and Rishi Sanyal to provide another outlet for dance at Brown University. We do not specialize in any particular dance but, rather, we explore the art of dance in its many forms, from hip-hop to ballet, step to modern, and much, much more. The show featured the company in a variety of styles of dance.
imPulse Dance Company was established with certain principles and goals in mind. These goals are all principles based on: instruction, training, discipline, learning, and discovering. We have formed a diverse company of 14 students, growing from our original company of 11. Founded and based on the idea that the Brown Dance Community would progress and evolve one day—along came (an) imPulse…
