The Brotherhood was started about 10 years ago. All the information on the original organization was lost during its period of inactivity from 1999 until fall of 2001. The Brotherhood was revitalized in 2001 and its membership currently represents 15% of the black male population at Brown and is growing. This past year, the Brotherhood held bi-monthly meetings starting in February and will continue through the end of the academic year. The Black Women Appreciation Dinner will be held again in April. The Brotherhood is just getting off its feet and we encourage everyone interested to come to our meetings
