1) Tammy Bruce Lecture, TONIGHT at Roger Williams!
This WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, at 730PM, the College Republicans of Roger Williams University will be sponsoring a lecture by conservative lesbian speaker and author TAMMY BRUCE. Tammy recently authored the excellent best-selling book, "The Death of Right and Wrong" and is has been featured on Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, and CNN.
The lecture will take place in the School of Engineering, Room 124 at Roger Williams University's Bristol campus. Though the lecture is scheduled to start at 730pm, you will want to arrive early, to make sure you get a decent seat.
Tammy Bruce will be speaking on the general topic of "How the homosexual elite and feminist elite are ruining this country," for about 45 minutes, followed by about 45 minutes of Q&A from the audience. Book signing to follow. Given the recent "controversy" over the most recent edition of the RWU CR's newspaper, "The Hawk's Right Eye," that dealt with this very subject, and the predictable backlash by the RWU administration that followed, this lecture should definitely be worth attending. Please attend, if your schedule permits.

2) "Reconstructing" Whiteness Week
Some people have expressed interest in doing a spoof of "Deconstructing Whiteness Week" by advertising for a "Reconstructing Whiteness" event. Contact John_DeWald@Brown.edu if you are interested in helping him design fliers.

3) Soapbox Debates on Thursday, November 6, at noon in front of the Ratty
This week's topic Unionization. The topic is hot, with California workers striking, Wal-Mart workers arrested, Brown grad students still in limbo, Providence hotel employees organizing. Is Unionization an idea whose time has come and gone? Is it the only way to defend the rights of workers? Is it harmful to growth of the economy or does it stimulate consumer power? Does that even matter? Let us know! Come and have your say up on the Soapboxes. Anyone's opinion is welcome.
