12-1-03 Update __ College Republicans Last meeting of the semester! Wednesday, December 3rd We have two speakers at this week's meeting. Our main speaker will be Dave Rogers, Candidate for U.S. Congressional District 1. Rogers is running against incumbent Congressman Patrick “I never worked a f....n day in my life” Kennedy. In addition, Daryl Finizio, Candidate for State Representative in Providence's District 3 (which encompasses most of Brown) will also speak to us about his campaign. Wednesday's meeting will be a great opportunity for people to meet these fantastic candidates, and possibly get involved in their campaigns. Both Candidates have expressed considerable interest in getting College Republicans involved with their races. In addition, I have been talking to Brown Alum, Dr. Margaret Crosby PhD '01 who is also a Republican candidate running against Patrick Kennedy. Hopefully, she will be speaking to us at a meeting early next semester. This will be our last official meeting of 2003, so I hope you all can make it! Best, |
