Lincoln Field

Step off Thayer Street and under Soldiers Memorial Gate, part of the University's memorial to its war dead, and you enter Lincoln Field. Originally a swamp, Lincoln Field was later turned into a baseball field, before becoming one of the quieter greens on campus. It's the perfect place to study and often used for social events and recreational activities. At one end of the field stands a statue of Marcus Aurelius on horseback, a replica of a statue located in Rome.
