Welcome to the website of The Catalyst, Brown University's one and only interdisciplinary
science magazine. Don't let the word 'science' scare you off! Our goal is to celebrate the space shared by both the sciences and the arts and humanities, and to make science more accessible and interesting to
everyone. We are not a technical journal, but rather we aim for an audience of scientists and
non-scientists alike. The Catalyst is produced primarily by undergraduates and read primarily by
undergraduates, but we welcome — and in fact seek — contribution, support, comments, and
readership from all, in order to pursue our ambition of becoming a truly interdisciplinary publication.
