Have you ever wondered about the plants around you? Are you curious about how they reproduce and how they evolve? 'Plant Organism' is a course which focuses on these particular questions. Students explore the physiology, reproduction, evolution and developmental processes of plants, to name a few. In order to take this course, however, one must have a background in biology, such as Bio 20.

Most of the students found that Professor Holowinsky was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic in this subject and gave extremely thorough lectures. In addition, he was commended forhis sense of humor, his willingness to answer questions, and his responsiveness to student's needs. However, respondents commented on his lack of organization and direction in handouts and lectures.

The course demanded a significant portion of the respondents' time and effort- around 4 to 7 hours per week. Assignments for the course included readings, weekly lab assignments, two exams, and a final paper.

The majority of the students enjoyed the class and stated that it gave them an understanding of plants and the principles which govern their physiology. However, other students were not as interested in the complex details behind plants and thus did not find the course as enjoyable as others did.

In general, if you have an interest in learning about the structure and functions of plants, you should consider taking this course.
