Shadow Play was a sci-fi espionage LARP set in the year 2040. Characters were various guests attending a white house gala where the new nominees for president, on both the democratic and republican tickets, were about to be announced. Hot issues for the election included the future of biotechnology, and the somewhat cold relations between the US and Communist China. Many of the guests were personally invited, although some found alternate means of entrance.
