In the ancient past, the Istari were sent to Middle Earth to protect it. Here you can see Saruman the White, Gandalf the Grey, and Alatar the Blue. Radagast the Brown and Pallando the Blue were unfortunately unavailable for this photo opportunity, still being somewhat seasick from the voyage. Some long time later, Saruman turned evil and joined up with Sauron and the Nazghul, as is clearly indicated by this photographic account. Gandalf then gathered about him a Fellowship (also seen here) to destroy the ring. Foremost in the Fellowship was Frodo who was constantly accosted by the evil ring and flaming Eye of Sauron. Joining him were Boromir and Aragorn, Gimli, and Galadriel, Arwen and Eowyn. Unfortunately, Arwen and Eowyn couldn't stop playing tug of war with Aragorn, while Boromir, not wanting to be left out of the action, played tug of war with Frodo and the ring. Since Gandalf trusted him implicitly, Saruman attacked a tree, not expecting the tree to fight back. This led to a climactic confrontation between a very bitter Saruman and a displeased Gandalf. Alatar, having spent too much time off in the East, had no idea what was going on. Meanwhile, Eowyn somehow managed to slay the Witchking. Afterwards, a Canadian Mountie joined forces with the Nazghul, and was presented a ring for his valor. |
