Minutes Review
Minutes from the Feburary 2, 2005 meeting were passed for review.


Executive reports
 1) President: Thanks for all the work on the constitution so far. 
    Please keep giving your feedback and participate to the next
    constitution meeting. 

 2) Treasurer: Please remember to fill your department rebates.

 3) Technology: The gsc-reps@listserv [at] brown.edu mail list
    exists. Be welcome to participate to the discussion. We will be
    revising the Brown Book. Please volunteer. 

 4) Administration: We still need someone to vote on the Wilson-Deboy
    award.

 5) Social: The graduate student lounge is getting trashed. We will
    start enforcing that the door not be probed open. We will also
    start fining the last groups in before we discover a mess. We
    will use the card swipe log to identify violator. The fine is the
    price of a full cleanup, around 200$.

External Committee Reports:

 1) University Community Council: Only seven department submitted
    their list of issues. Please find issues to discuss with the
    president.  

 2) Grad Council: Our representative to the Grad Council, Alyssa,
    informed us of some important changes to the registration
    process: a) Registration will go on-line beginning in the Spring
    of 2006.  b) Along with Online registration, fees for late
    registration will increase dramatically (up to 500$ per semester)

Funding Requests:

 The GSC voted to fund 300$ the department of geology community
 outreach science teaching program.

 The GSC voted to fund 400$ for the theater production of "The
 Mikado" by the graduate student theater troupe "Gilbert & Sullivan"
 

External Committee Elections:

 Daniel Piper elected to the University Creative Arts Council

 Jeremy Fisher appointed to the Honorary Degree Advisory Board 

 University Resource Committee: nobody accepted their nomination

 Angela Mazaris (sp?) elected to the Diversity Advisory Board
