Graduate Student Council Meeting Minutes (May 2004)

Walter Hunter, the vice president of administration, gave an introduction of Brown s Transportation Management Plan, and asked for suggestions. The main points are:

Factors motivate changes in transportation management.

Ad Hoc Transportation Committee.

Success depends on action by the Providence city to make on-site parking less attractive.

Recommended enhancement for year 2004-2005.

Student transportation service.

Jeffrey Reingold, president of GSC, ran a motion to elect the graduate student representative in the Advisory Committee on Corporate Responsibility in Investing. Brian Thurber from Environmental Studies was elected.

John Raiti, vice president of GSC, announced the summer Social Hour arrangement. Commencement Champagne Toast, May 27th, 2004 from 6pm-8pm in the GSL.

Xiaofei He, treasure of GSC, announced the department rebate arrangement.

Lei Wang, vice president of GSC, announced the 2004-2005 Graduate Student Orientation arrangement.
