The Graduate Center Building contains two social gatherings places for graduate
student. They are your space and you should take advantage of
them. Anything that takes us out of our labs and offices is good, right?
Direction to the GCB
[Google Maps Direction]
If you are starting at the corner Waterman and Thayer, start walking down
(South) on Thayer, away from all the restaurants and shops. You will pass
Manning, George, Benevolent Street. The next one is Charlesfield Street, turn
right on Charlesfield.

On your left now is the Graduate Center Building. Walk a bit up Charlesfield, looking to
your left and find the Grad Center Bridge, leading you to the Grad Plaza.

Find the door that looks like it belongs to a nuclear bunker and take the
stairs down. It will take you to the bar.

Direction to the Lounge
[Google Maps Direction]
Starting from Waterman & Thayer, walk down on Thayer, pass Charlesfield and
look on your right for the entrance to the Grad Center. Enter the door that
looks like it belongs to a nuclear waste storage facility.

Inside, you will find the door to the lounge, directly on your left. Swipe
your student card, go in, close the door. That is the door that you need to keep close.

Lounge Reservations
First, check the lounge calendar and find a free time slot. Then, fill out and submit the Graduate Student Lounge Reservation Form. Either one of the Social Events Co-Chairs or the Tech officer will contact you to confirm your reservation.
As detailed in the reservation policies, all requests need to be received to at least 3 business days before the event. Reservation is not required for small events but if you want to guarantee that the room is available to you, then you should definitely reserve the space. For a definition of "small" events, read the bottom of the reservation form.
