Harmonic Motion Has Been Busy
After welcoming in our newbies, HM went on a fabulous retreat to Annie's house in Westwood MA!! We had a chance to sing, relax, and bond over activities like bowling and shrinky-dink making. A week later we had a gig in Philly, as part of an A Cappella Fest organized by Drexel University.

Welcome New Members!

From Summer 2004

Times, they are a changing...
It's the summer, and that means y
our loveable webmaster has a lot of time on his hands. Astute visitors may have noticed recent additions to the pictures pages and changes in our roster (goodbye seniors *sniff*) and our songlists. We've retired a number of songs, thought up a bunch more to arrange for next year, and more change is to come. Speaking of change to come, Congratulations to Brown Class of 2008! We encourage you to look around the website to learn about our group and to shoot us an e-mail for info on auditions or the group in general.

From Spring 2004:

Harmonic Motion Returns
Bleary eyed, we debarked the airplane and were greeted by high-30s and rain. It's great to be home in little Rhodie, even if there are no swimming pools, beach volleyball courts, or theme parks...

eGad! 40,000 hits!
Harmonic Motion's website has just surpassed the 40K milestone. Celebrate by spinning around 40,000 times or buying 40,000 Twinkies.

New Webmaster
Harmonic Motion's website has a new webmaster. Matt has taken over web and computer guru-ery duties. We all pray this place doesn't fall apart.

NEW HARMO!
We gladly welcome Ben Mantell into our fold! Yay for Ben!

Spring Concert wows audience!
Our annual Spring Concert was excellent, featuring the debut of some of our newest songs and two guest groups, the Harvard Callbacks and the Tufts Amalgamates.

We say farewell...temporarily speaking.
The beginning of the second semester was unusually poignant this year, as Seth and James left to study abroad in France and Mexico, respectively.

Jon and Gen return from Brown (and Sweden)!
The start of the spring (or really, the start of the middle of winter) fortuitously brought us on leave Harmos Jon and Gen! The arrival of Jon's truly legendary percussing and Gen's versatile voice is more than welcome.

From Fall 2002:

"Saturday Night Live" Parents' Weekend Concert
New members! New songs! And two groups for the price of one!

Harmonic Motion is working harder than ever before to put on a great show Saturday, October 26th, at 10 pm in Salomon 101. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll discover the meaning of life (this is not guaranteed, though highly probable) as our nine new members make their debut performance. We've even invited the UPenn Pennyloafers up from Pennsylvania to help us spice things up! Reserve your seat ahead of time, though, especially since the concert's more expensive at the door. Starting Tuesday the 22nd, get tickets from your friendly neighborhood HM member or in the Faunce post office.

Harmonic Motion has new members!
After 12 hours of auditions and two marathon callbacks, our group now boasts the best of the best from the freshman and sophmore classes! Seven of us came back to school this year, and now we've grown to sixteen. So hold on to your hats, folks, 'cause Harmonic Motion is gonna blow you away!

Congratulations and welcome to the newest "Harmos":

John Brougher
Caitlin Marshall

This past May we said goodbye to four amazing seniors at our annual Commencement Concert. Best of luck, guys. Don't forget to call, email, and send large care packages. We can't wait to see you again.

After winning first place as well as Best Vocal Percussion at the regional quarterfinals in Hartford, CT, we went to Northhampton, MA for the semifinals, but unfortunately didn't place. All was not lost, however, as our very own Lauren Hynek was awarded Best Soloist for her absolutely amazing performance on St. Teresa. Look for us again hopefully next year, this time with four years under our belt! For more info on the competition, check out the NCCA webpage
