Our web-staffers wrote the following "about" text during a period of low morale. We are much happier now. But if ever we are blue, we click back here to realize how truly lucky we are. We encourage you to do the same.

On Brown University's unfunny and often anti-funny campus, what does it mean to create a humor magazine? In any social interaction, we Jugglers come across either as witty, likeable kids, or as monsters, bloodsucking abominations. Sometimes we drive around in our fleet of little posh jags, dressed to the nines and revered as the toast of the campus. Other times we roam the campus in a pack, attacking other students with our trusty sticks.

It's a weird kind of double life we lead. We swing back and forth between calling our layout slaves 'Igor' and 'Jeeves'. I might say, "Igor! The damn magazine is coming out tomorrow at 9 am, and you better get your little hunch moving if you're going to make it in time!" And then the next morning I'd be like, "Jeeves, jolly good job on the letters page layout. Buy you a scotch at Oliver's?"

The Brown Jug was founded in 1920 and is published quarterly by students of Brown University.

Huh. Well, here's something: The Harvard Demon has linked us on their links page. We are therefore obligated to link them from ours. We have no links page. Here, Demon!
