A Message from the President
Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at Brown University. My name is Cindy Bui, and I am the president of the wonderful Alpha Epsilon chapter. Theta is a sisterhood made up of a diverse group of women who all aspire to high ideals in everything they do, and who exhibit the strongest love and loyalty to each other.
From dancing on the Bruinettes dance team to saving loves on EMS to building houses in Habit for Humanity to displaying spirit with BrowNation, Thetas can be found just about anywhere on campus. We have an amazing chapter with sisters who are involved in a wide variety of activities and leadership roles on campus, and who are consistently maintaining an astounding GPA-all the while managing to have a packed social calendar! As a group, Thetas pride themselves on their dedication to attaining the higherst scholarship as well as to maintaining an outstanding community service. In the past year, we have put on very succesful events such as the KATwalk fashion show, our annual Charity Denim sale, our Rock the Casa concert, and much more.
Theta is not simply just an organization that provides sisters opportunities to become more involved in the Brown campus; it serves as a family for each sister and gives them a place with which they can call their own. Theta gives sisters an opportunity to form lasting meaningful relationships with a group of women of various backgrounds and interests. From ice cream dates to movie nights to silly late night dance sessions, Theta sisters are always having fun! In addition, every semester we hold a variety of social events and sisterhood activities where lasting memories are made. Compassion and enthusiasm are embodied within each and every sister; I know can always turn to them and know that they will always be there for me.
I am so honored to be able to represent the women of the Alpha Epsilon chapter, each of whom I could not be more proud of. We hope that you will come see what life as a Theta sister at Brown is like!
Theta love and mine,
Cindy Bui
