Overview:Standard six addresses how I develop as a teacher throughout the student teaching semester. It involves taking part in observing veteran teachers throughout Central and in other schools, incorporating techniqus I learn from methods class and from Psychology of teaching, taking advantage of the professional development opportunities available to teachers at Central, and reflecting on my experiences as a means of evaluation. By completing weekly reflections that address both my teaching and observations, I could determine the skills I need to address to develop into more of a professional teacher. As I discovered that self-evaluation and reflection were essential aspects of assessment for my students, these skills became integral to my development as a teacher, and will continue to be a regular part of my professional growth.
