Evidence: Fourth Amendment Lesson Plan

Description of Artifact:
This lesson plan from October 19 details a lesson plan I used to teach students about the Fourth Amendment. The plan required me to speak to two students ahead of time to organize a mock illegal search. During the class, students addressed the topic of privacy while participating in a simulation about illegal searches and seizures.

Standard demonstrated by this artifact:
Planning

Reflection:
This lesson plan was a fun and exciting way to teach students about the fourth amendment. Students were unaware that the illegal search was a set-up and became very involved in defending their fourth amendment rights. Several students later chose to write their essays about the fourth amendment because they learned the most from this lesson. I enjoyed making the class a more experiential learning environment. Students were able to interact with the amendment instead of simply learn about it, which made their learning more valuable and practical.
