Brown Students for Liberty

"I do not agree with a thing you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."- Voltaire

Mission Statement- Students for Liberty sees a pressing need in the world to defend the pursuit of liberty because individual personhood is based on the inherent right to property in one’s body and mind from which all liberties and rights are rationally derived.

NEWS:
4/22/03 Students for Liberty had a great time at our Recycling is Garbage booth. Our game for the carnival consisted of four recycling bins surrounding a garbage can. If you succeeded in getting a ball of paper into the trash can, you won a giant sized Snickers bar. Many people came to discuss and we handed out copies of the article as well as copies of the pamphlet The Green Gestapo: Environmentalism Gone Insane.
4/24/03 Dr. Tom Palmer, senior fellow at the Cato Institute, came to speak about Globalization to a packed room in Wilson. There were a lot of new faces, and Dr. Palmer's eloquence, poise, and rational discourse swayed a lot of people.
5/1/03 May Day! SFL will be having a booth on the Main Green in order to pass out information regarding the dangers and horrors of Socialism and Communism.
