February 3rd 2007 the Students of Caribbean Ancestry will be having their Annual Ebony Soiree. This year it promises to be a spectacular event. Information located ::here:: |

EBONY SOIREE 2006

|
This is our biggest event of the year. It ia a formal celebration
of the African and African Caribbean culture. The menu included African,
Afro-Caribbean and Cuban cuisine from local resturants, such as "Cuban
Revolution" and "Elea's," in Providence.
This year's theme was "A NIGHT WITH THE STARS" which showcased
Dancehall, Reggae and Soca artist from the Caribbean. Many Brown university
groups and persons performed that night, including Fusion, Sugarcane,
Mezcla and Shades of Brown. Special performance by the slam poet,
Bassey Ipki.
The night ended with an After Party featuring DJ Jules. ::click

theme was "Pakati Pehusiku" which means the ending of the
night, and the beginning of a new day. Many Brown university groups
and persons performed that night, including Fusion, Graham, Kosa,
Sugarcane and Shades of Brown. Special performance by the Supa Lowery
Brothers.
