Registration is now open for the Swing Dancing Workshop! Classes will be all day Saturday, April 5th in the Crystal Room of Alumnae Hall, Brown University, and the free dance is Friday night, in Leung Gallery of Faunce House, Brown University. Check the Workshop page for more information!

The Swing Club's annual workshop dance is back! On Friday, April 4th from 8pm to midnight we'll be featuring the DJ talents of Tony Tye, from Hop to the Beat Dance Studio, to provide you with a terrific place to enjoy great swing music and dancing. The dance will be in Leung Gallery (where Swing's weekly lessons take place). Come out and have a great time! Sponsored by First Friday.

Due to the National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning in Connecticut-Massachusetts-Rhode Island, the Brown Swing Club's Zoot Suit Ball is POSTPONED until next Friday, February 29th. We understand that this is a short notice, and we apologize for the inconvience. Unfortunaly, the storm warning was not issued until this afternoon. We hope to see all of you at the dance next Friday (for which 'abundant sunshine' is predicted). Following are the corrected details for the event.

Brown Swing Club presents The Mom & Pop Hop, our annual Parents' Weekend Charity Dance! This year all proceeds from the dance will be donated to Keep a Child Alive, a charity that supports treatment for the AIDS pandemic in Africa. We are featuring DJ Wil Reed, who has been collecting music since the 8-track craze. From Connecticut, Wil has DJed throughout New England for eight years and danced more than ten. Come dance and support this great cause!
