About Us

Turkish Cultural Society (TCS) was founded on October 29, 2005 as a graduate student club at Brown University. The purpose of TCS is to raise awareness among our members and within the Brown community about Turkish culture and heritage. Our goal as an organization is to contribute to the multicultural diversity at Brown University by providing means of communication and interaction among different cultures on campus and in southern New England. TCS also provides activities and information for newcomers (not only Turkish) to effectively navigate through the first months at Brown and to ease the challenges of living away from home.
