Appointments Chair |
Ryan Lester is a member of the class of 2011. David McCullough once wrote in his biography entitled, “Ryan Lester: A Man of Mysterious Mystery†that “… Although Ryan Lester was a man of diligence and great amounts of hard work, he was also a man shrouded in the clouds of delusional misanthropy.†This quote brings to light some of the challenges that Ryan faced as he entered the cold darkness of this oft-misrepresented world. When he was of the strapping age of 9, Ryan was forced to endure the endless torment of a bully who stole his 3rd grade lunch money. One day, Ryan faced his demon with bravery that would be told of in Myths of the 21st Century (a forthcoming History Channel original series). Wielding only a pen and his 3-inch thick glasses, Ryan was forced to do battle with the dragonous creature. After destroying his demented tormentor, he was lifted up by the 3rd grade world and deemed a hero. But he is not a hero. Ryan Lester is just a man who promises never to stop fighting against the metaphorical bullies that plague the world. |
Communications Chair |
Gabriel Kussin is a junior Political Science and Education concentrator from Durham, North Carolina. When not serving as communications chair (thereby constantly worrying about all-campus emails) or driving in his Saab blasting techno, Gabriel is President of the Brown Democrats and a battle-hardened, two-year veteran of low-intensity intramural indoor soccer. If you have any questions about UCS, please shoot him an email!  |

Associate Member |
Frederic Lu estimates that less than 5% of the Brown student body will find this webpage – the lucky 5%, of course. Fred currently serves on the Admissions and Student Services Committee. Previous experiences with his high school Advisory and Executive Boards have transformed him into a sponge for new ideas and suggestions. He is considering a science concentration, but when not pounding hydrocarbon isomers into his head enjoys hanging out with hall buddies, writing, amateur photography, and video game design. Fred would love to tell everyone about UCS and hear their concerns if they would only stop thinking that UFB was some sort of sports association. |
Associate Member |
Jenny Desrosier is an associate member of UCS, serving on the Admissions and Student Services Committee. She is from Greenwich, Connecticut and a member of the Class of 2011.
