Year of China Coordinator
As the Coordinator for the Year of China, Shana Weinberg helps organize the initiative's events and public programming as well as maintain the project's webpage.
Shana recently completed her Master's at the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown. During her time in graduate school she served as Producer and Project Manager for Rhode Island StoryCorps in partnership with WRNI, Rhode Island's Public Radio Station.
Prior to coming to Brown Shana worked in development at number of international institutions including the Global Fund for Children in Washington, D.C. as well as a Burmese women's non-governmental organization in northern Thailand.
Shana also has experience in public programming and curatorial work, serving as a museum educator and researcher at a range of institutions from a small historical society to a larger state museum.
