International Pi Day!
March 14, 2024
Help bring the joy of pi(e) to healthcare workers on March 14! In honor of International Pi Day, we want to deliver 100 slices of pie to the emergency rooms of RI Hospital, Miriam Hospital, and Kent Hospital to thank them for caring for us and our community. We are looking for all kinds of pies, from banana cream to apple to whoopie to pumpkin to lemon meringue. If you'd rather buy the pies, we can recommend great places that meet all budgets. You can even collect pies from your neighbors and friends! We would also love it if you and your kids could write thank you notes and draw pictures, which we will deliver with the pies. Finally, we will need help to package the slices of pie for delivery on Thursday, 3/14 at noon. Please email [email protected] for more information.
Bear Market Food Exchange
This pantry shelf is stocked by donations from students, faculty and staff, and supplemented monthly by the Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life.
This small food pantry is available for anyone struggling to get enough to eat. All community members are welcome to contribute non-perishable food. If you would like to donate, you can drop off your donation in a bag or box, or simply add food to our shelves.
Sponsor a Restock!
If you or your office/department would like to sponsor a restocking of the pantry shelf, we invite you to fill out the sign-up form. Sponsorship may include food collection, monetary donations, a combination --or another idea you may have!
Gender Affirming Closet
The Gender Affirming Closet is located at the LGBTQ Center in Stonewall House at 22 Benevolent St. They accept clean, lightly loved or new clothing, accessories, shoes, drag-wear, and unused make-up.
