In an effort to raise domestic violence awareness, the President’s Staff Advisory Council has partnered with the Women’s Center of Rhode Island to offer a used cell phone drive to the Brown University community from March 21st- March 31st, 2011.
Through Shelter Alliance, used cell phones are processed using a zero landfill recycling process. The program helps shelters and their local communities dispose of used cell phones responsibly while raising money for the Women’s Center of RI.
Drop off your used cell phones at one of the locations listed below, or mail them to the SAC campus Box 1955.
Don’t forget to remove personal information and your SIM cards. Please leave the phones only as they do not collect chargers, belt clips, or hands-free devices. Those items are not recyclable and will end up being thrown away.
