Volunteers Needed at Amos House Soup Kitchen

April 29, 2011

Amos House is a nonprofit social services agency that provides hospitality and direct services to the homeless and poor of Rhode Island. In 1976, founder Sister Eileen Murphy started a small soup kitchen to provide dinner to several dozen homeless men; today, Amos house serves free breakfast and lunch to as many as 800 people, nearly every day.

Volunteer opportunity is for Saturday, May 21, 2011, from 9:00 - 1:00pm.

Four people are needed to help prepare lunch, serve meals in the buffet line, and light clean up. Please wear closed-toed shoes and a baseball cap.
