Farewell, Sarah!

August 12, 2014

Earlier this month, Brown bid a warm and heartfelt goodbye  to Sarah Sceery, the Project Assistant for Advancement's Brown Sports Foundation and a valued member of the President’s Staff Advisory Council (SAC). Sarah accepted a new advancement position at Merrimack College, located just north of Boston.

Although excited about this new opportunity, Sarah has fond memories of her Brown experience. “Brown is such an amazing place to learn,” she says. “I’m going to miss all of the knowledge, information, and learning opportunities at a school so unique as Brown, but most of all I’m going to miss the people and the community. I’ve been so lucky to build and develop some of the relationships I have in my role with colleagues, University staff, alumni, and donors.”

A native of Warwick, RI, Sarah has cherished her time in the Ocean State and, in particular, Providence, with its numerous opportunities to get outdoors, be active, and explore dining in what she calls “a great foodie city.” “I’m going to miss Providence. It’s come such a long way since I grew up and there are so many fun and unique restaurants. And because I love to do things outdoors, such as running, hiking, swimming, and the beach, I’m certainly going to miss all the fun Rhode Island summer activities.”

SAC wishes Sarah the very best of luck in her new career opportunity!
