A recent addition to the Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life, Adrian Wood-Smith has been appointed Associate University Chaplain for the Muslim Community at Brown. Prior to this position, he served as the Coordinator of the Convert Continuum of Care at Ta'leef Collective, an organization in the San Francisco Bay area that works to facilitate a healthy understanding and embrace of Islam and train community care providers who can tend to the religious and social challenges facing American Muslims.
The President’s Staff Advisory Council invites you to join us on Thursday, September 18 at The Duck & Bunny* (312 Wickenden Street) at 5:00 p.m. This event is a great opportunity to catch up with coworkers outside of the office and to expand your professional network in a casual, relaxed, and enjoyable setting. We encourage all staff to attend!
SAC extends a warm welcome to Paul Margrave, the Marketing and Box Office Coordinator for Brown’s Theatre Arts and Performance Studies department.
Before moving to America in 2012 to study at Brown, Paul “was the Director of a London-wide festival of arts made by older people. The festival features work by older artists in many disciplines, and it had twin aims: shifting public perceptions of older age, and creating high-quality opportunities for participation in the arts,” he explains.
