SAC extends a warm welcome to Paul Margrave, the Marketing and Box Office Coordinator for Brown’s Theatre Arts and Performance Studies department.
Before moving to America in 2012 to study at Brown, Paul “was the Director of a London-wide festival of arts made by older people. The festival features work by older artists in many disciplines, and it had twin aims: shifting public perceptions of older age, and creating high-quality opportunities for participation in the arts,” he explains.
SAC welcomes Interim Catholic Chaplaincy Associate Nicanor Austriaco to the Brown community. Nicanor earned a PhD in Biology from MIT, where he was a fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He was ordained a priest in May of 2004 and completed his Pontifical License in Sacred Theology in Moral Theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. In addition to his new position in the Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life, he has a dual role as an Associate Professor of Biology and an Instructor of Theology at Providence College.

Please join SAC in wishing a fond farewell to departing employee Karen Maldonado, the Service Response Coordinator for the Brown Facilities Management office. After eight years of service to the University, Karen will be working as a school counselor at a middle school in Central Falls. Karen eagerly anticipates this new path in her career. “I grew up in Central Falls, which is why I am very excited to be working in this community. (Distributed August 22, 2014)
