The President’s Staff Advisory Council invites you to join us on Thursday, September 18 at The Duck & Bunny* (312 Wickenden Street) at 5:00 p.m. This event is a great opportunity to catch up with coworkers outside of the office and to expand your professional network in a casual, relaxed, and enjoyable setting. We encourage all staff to attend!
SAC extends a warm welcome to Paul Margrave, the Marketing and Box Office Coordinator for Brown’s Theatre Arts and Performance Studies department.
Before moving to America in 2012 to study at Brown, Paul “was the Director of a London-wide festival of arts made by older people. The festival features work by older artists in many disciplines, and it had twin aims: shifting public perceptions of older age, and creating high-quality opportunities for participation in the arts,” he explains.
SAC welcomes Interim Catholic Chaplaincy Associate Nicanor Austriaco to the Brown community. Nicanor earned a PhD in Biology from MIT, where he was a fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He was ordained a priest in May of 2004 and completed his Pontifical License in Sacred Theology in Moral Theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. In addition to his new position in the Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life, he has a dual role as an Associate Professor of Biology and an Instructor of Theology at Providence College.
The President’s Staff Advisory Council invites you to Have A Treat On Us on Wednesday, September 3rd! Join us as we kick off the new academic year with a staff appreciation ice cream social. We’ll be serving frozen treats from Warwick Ice Cream Co. SAC will also have other giveaways and free raffles. This event coincides with the semester’s first Farmers’ Market on Manning Green.
