Timesheets: Submitting and Approving Time
Students no longer submit traditional weekly timesheets to their department. Rather, hours worked are entered by students directly into Workday on a weekly basis for approval by their supervisor via the Student Time Tracker system.
- Grade Level Worksheet *
The grade level and associated hourly rate is based on the level of responsibility and skills required to perform the job. Calculation of the grade level is accomplished by utilizing the Grade Level Worksheet.
This worksheet is also available as part of the job posting process (in the Profile section). There, the grade level will be automatically calculated for you or you may calculate it yourself by downloading this form.
*(With the increase to the Rhode Island state minimum wage rate as of January 1, 2016, a new Grade level worksheet, with updated ranges, will be in effect.)
- Confidentiality Agreement
Departments are encouraged to have student workers sign a statement of confidentiality; particularly students working with information protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.
- Student Employee Evaluation Form
The Student Employee Evaluation Form may aid you in giving feedback to your student employee(s). Completion of this form is optional and serves as a communication tool. Do not forward completed student evaluation forms to Human Resources or the SEO; retain for your for your records. The student worker should be provided with a copy.
