Brown Arts

Gifts

The gift of public art reflects the commitment of Brown alumni and donors to the University’s mission of creating a stimulating and enriching educational environment. Placing these gifts throughout the campus, the Public Art Committee sites each work sympathetically to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the campus and also to prominently display the commitment of previous generations of Brown graduates to the ongoing life of Brown’s community. Many of these gifts have become cherished sites within campus life, becoming landmarks on the Brown campus, providing places for gathering and reflection, and uniting the campus’s landscape with its architecture.
