Chemistry Department Facilities

The Chemistry Department is located in a modern research facility housing both the Departments of Chemistry and  Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences. The Chemistry Department occupies the top three floors, which include numerous fully equipped research laboratories, as well as dedicated laboratories for major equipment, radioisotope use, controlled temperature, and other special applications. In addition to offices and seminar rooms, the building houses a centrally located chemistry stockroom, a machine shop, and an electronics workshop. The MacMillan Laboratories, which opened in 1998 and are directly attached to the GeoChem research facility, houses state-of-the-art teaching labs for chemistry, geology, and environmental sciences, as well as seminar and small classrooms and a large lecture auditorium.
