Professor Lewis is fascinated by the changing shapes and influences of religion in the modern, increasingly globalized world. His work also focuses on central questions in religious and philosophical ethics, particularly the roles of practices of ethical formation. He has been actively involved in advising undergraduates, including as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for Religious Studies for several years.
