Information for Symposium Participants

Participation in the Summer Research Symposium is limited to students who are enrolled in specific research programs (see below for a complete list.)

Poster sessions allow for greater audience engagement than traditional papers or lectures. On a poster, your questions and conclusions can be highlited and therefore, absorbed at every person's individual pace. Posters also allow for greater conversation between researcher and audience-member. Guests will walk around the hall to view each of the posters. Researchers should prepare to give 1-minute talks about their summer research and to engage audience members and to answer their questions.

Symposium Registration

All participants are asked to register online for the Symposium by a firm online. Students who do not register by the deadline will NOT be able to present a poster at the Symposium.

Logistics

Each participant will receive a 40" x 30" foam poster board and an easel. Be sure your posters do not exceed this size.

Participants must  arrive the day of the Symposium no later than 10:00 AM to check in at the registration desk and to pick up your poster board, thumb tacks, and name tag. It is important that everyone arrive on time to ensure that you have sufficient time to set up for the Symposium.
