Andrea McWilliams was born and raised in the border city of El Paso, TX. In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Brown University. At the start of her undergraduate career, Andrea became passionate about social justice issues. She was heavily involved in immigrant advocacy work in her hometown and decided she wanted to dedicate her career to empowering underserved communities. Given her experience as the first in her family to attend and graduate from a four-year university, Andrea was drawn to college access work. She is currently a second-year college guide at West Warwick High School located in West Warwick, RI. During her first year of advising, Andrea realized she wants to continue working in the field of education and plans to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus in non-profit management. Andrea loves dogs and, if science were her forte, she would pursue a career as a veterinarian.
